Lesson Overview

When you feel upset, your breathing changes. It may become fast or heavy. Slow breathing helps your body relax. Take a deep breath in through your nose. Hold it for a moment. Let it out slowly through your mouth. Feel your shoulders drop. Feel your body slow down. Do this three to five times. Breathing sends a calm message to your brain. Calm breathing helps you think clearly. Clear thinking helps you make better choices.
