It is important to know what you are feeling. You might feel happy, sad, angry, or worried. You might feel jealous or left out. Sometimes feelings feel mixed together. Try to say the feeling out loud. You can say, “I feel frustrated.” Naming your feeling helps you understand it. When you know the name, it feels less scary. Feelings are easier to handle when you name them. Strong kids talk about feelings. Talking helps you feel understood. Understanding helps you calm down.
