Course content

Suicide Is Not the Answer: Helping Teens See a Way Forward is a life-affirming course designed to speak directly to the pain and isolation many young people feel—but often keep hidden. In a world where more teens than ever are silently struggling with depression, trauma, shame, and hopelessness, this series offers clarity, connection, and a way out.

This course doesn’t minimize pain or pretend every problem is easy to solve. Instead, it walks teens through the deep emotional and psychological realities behind suicidal thinking—breaking down how thoughts spiral, what causes someone to believe death is the only option, and most importantly, how to interrupt that process before it’s too late.

With empathy and directness, the series teaches students how to recognize red flags in themselves or their peers, how to respond safely, and how to find support without fear of being judged. It covers everything from self-harm and emotional numbing to panic attacks and the role of social media in feeding isolation. It also equips teens with emotional survival skills—tools they can use in the moment to ride out overwhelming feelings and choose life.

This course is not about shame. It’s about truth, healing, and empowering teens to stay alive—and help others do the same.
